Álvaro Parente, No. 9 Bentley Continental GT3
Álvaro Parente joined K-PAX Racing in 2016, and he has since left his mark in Pirelli World Challenge history. In three seasons with the team, the Porto, Portugal native has climbed the top-step 12 times – ranking second all-time in team history. In his first season with K-PAX Racing, Parente was named the Series Championship.
“I have spent most of my motorsports career as a driver, and I have driven against and with some of the best drivers in the world,” K-PAX Racing Program Manager Darren Law said. “After spending the last two seasons with Álvaro, I am very confident in saying he is for sure one of the best. He has the speed, the race-craft and the judgement that you want in a driver.”
Andy Soucek, No. 9 Bentley Continental GT3
Andy Soucek joined K-PAX Racing as a part of the team’s transition to Bentley Motorsport in 2018. Soucek, who has been a Bentley Factory driver since 2015, had ambitions of competing in his first full year in the United States. Under the K-PAX Racing banner, the veteran from Madrid, Spain earned his first American racing podium co-driving the No. 9 Bentley Continental GT3 at Lime Rock Park (Conn.).
“K-PAX Racing and Bentley have been very successful as a team and manufacturer in the past, so joining forces now can only bring positive results,” Soucek said. “I’m very excited to drive for K-PAX Racing – a very successful team that I’ve been following for years in America.”
Rodrigo Baptista, No. 3 Bentley Continental GT3
Rodrigo Baptista joined K-PAX Racing in 2018, embarking on his first full season in GT3 racing. In a short time, Baptista proved his talent among some of the series’ most talented amateur drivers by winning four races in the series’ first five events. The young-talent from São Paulo, Brazil became the first amateur co-driver to win an overall race in the series’ SprintX division. In less than two seasons with the series, Baptista joined the ranks of the series’ most elite professional drivers.
“He had the speed, and what impressed me was his racecraft – his ability to learn a track, race hard with the series veterans, not crack under pressure, and he was very mature in how he conducted himself,” Law said. “He has good judgement when it comes to racing – between passing and being able to hold his position against veterans and former champions. Time and time again, he shows us the true potential he has.”
Maxime Soulet, No. 3 Bentley Continental GT3
Maxime Soulet joined K-PAX Racing from Bentley Motorsport in 2018. Hailing from Nivelles, Belgium, Soulet is competing in America for the first time since 2012. Soulet made an instant impact in the series’ SprintX division, co-driving the No. 3 Bentley Continental GT3 to a victory in each of the first three events.
“At Bentley Motorsport, we are more focused on quality than quantity,” Soulet said. “We would rather work closely with a few very high-quality teams than have hundreds of cars run by customer teams that we don’t have that tight relationship with. Bentley has given me the opportunity to show what I can do on a global stage – I’ve raced with them in Europe, Asia and Australia – and now they have enabled me to race with a leading team over in America. Having a network of top-quality global teams, including K-PAX Racing, means that we can challenge for race and championship wins for ourselves, our customer teams and for the Bentley brand.”
